Maths!

In maths we are learning all about statistics. We found out what our favourite fruit were and sorted them into the same groups. Then we made a picture graph to see what fruit was the most popular. It was bananas!

Spelling

Students are practicing how to spell words from the cloud on their alphabet cards.

Poem of the week!

Each week we have a poem of the week, which relates to our topic. Students read the poems and the circle all the words they know, so they can see what clever children they are!

Reading

In reading we are learning to retell the stories we have read. Mubashirah and Naeema are retelling their story through drawing pictures.

Classroom Treaty

The students in room 25 discussed what was important to have on a classroom treaty. They believed that it should have ideas that can remind of what we should be doing in the classroom. As a class, the students came up with ideas to place on the treaty. The students are encourage to follow this whilst in the classroom. 

Room 25's Birthdays

In Room 25 we decided to look at when everyone's birthday in room 25 is this year. We learnt the months of the year and we made our own very special birthday cupcakes.

Wellness

Our school focus for term one is Wellness.

Wellness has many parts that offer us choices that are essential to live a balanced life.
In room 25 we completed a brain storm to find out what wellness means to us as a class and as individuals. As a class we discussed the different parts of wellness such as healthy eating, physical activity, looking after ourselves, our family and our friends and making sure that we get enough sleep and relaxation time.

Students wrote what the most important idea was to them around the topic of Wellness and added it to our class brainstorm.
